Dr Sivateja “Dr Siva” Mukkamala is a specialist GP with a strong background in rural and regional medicine, having worked across Australia since 2014 prior to settling in Brisbane. After graduating from medical school in India in 2008, Dr Siva spent several years working across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Cardiology before moving to Australia in 2011. He also completed a Master of Health Promotion through Deakin University in 2013.

Dr Siva has a special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery, with extensive experience in skin checks and procedural medicine since 2018 while practising in North Queensland. He holds Professional Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine, Skin Cancer Surgery, Dermoscopy and Aesthetic Medicine, along with an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. His procedural experience includes biopsies, simple excisions, complex flap and graft repairs, and cosmetic mole removal procedures.

Dr Siva enjoys all aspects of general practice and is passionate about providing thorough, patient-centred care to individuals and families.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys travelling with his family both within Australia and overseas, and is an avid road trip enthusiast. He is also a hobby writer and proudly published his first poetry book in 2022.
