Dr Matt is an experienced General Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience working in General Practice, as well as skin cancer and dermatology, in Far North Queensland.

During his time at Cairns Hospital, he developed a strong interest in dermatology, which continues to be a key area of focus in his work. He also has additional procedural experience, having worked as a Surgical Assistant to a private urology group while practising as a GP.

Since moving to Brisbane in 2020, Dr Matt has started a family and is now the proud dad of two young children. He also has a strong interest in mental health and psychological medicine, and is currently furthering his studies in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Working at The Melanoma Centre has reignited Dr Matt’s passion for skin cancer medicine, and he has recommenced his Masters in Skin Cancer through UQ.
